"Authentic! A friend and I were in the mood for Mexican food. and since we had never been here, decided to try it. We loved it. Dinner orders were prepared quickly in a area just beyond the counter but shielded from the public. Freshly prepared plates were brought to our table almost immediately after cooking was completed. Flavors were fresh, vibrant and bold. Prices maybe were slightly higher than other restaurants where most orders are taken at a counter, but bear in mind you are getting flavorful, freshly prepared food. It is still very budget friendly. (I think the last time we tasted such well prepared food was in a higher end Mexican restaurant/night club we visited several months ago in San Antonio Texas.) Portion sizes at El Chaparro were just right. We both left feeling pleasantly full. We had no room left for dessert, so we need to visit again for something sweet! My friend is vegetarian, by the way, and he found vegetarian options in several food categories."

"This place is super low-key. I’ve driven past it. Probably 100 times and missed it first and foremost now have a huge selection of food. I got the quessabirra tacos and they were great. Service was excellent. The place was clean. Had a nice warm, cool vibe to it. Since it’s on my way home from work, I’ll be stopping there probably at least once or twice a week. I look forward to trying something else on the menu."
